SEPULTURA Filming European Shows For Documentary

April 4, 2006

SEPULTURA bassist Paulo Xisto Jr. has checked in from the band's European tour with IN FLAMES, which has seen the Brazilian thrashers play more than 20 shows in less than 30 days.

Commented Paulo: "We have been on tour for over two weeks now and have been great so far!!! We had passed through Scandinavia, Germany, Holland, U.K., Belgium. Yesterday and today we're in France heading on the way to Spain!!!

"The shows are been great as well the feedback coming from the crowd!!! We can say that Mr. Mayorga [Roy Mayorga, SEPULTURA's fill-in drummer] is very much accepted at this point!!!!

"I have sent some pictures that have been taken from a friend that's on tour and has been videotaping every single show up to this point for a future documentary!!!"

According to a posting on SEPULTURA's web site, the bandmembers had some fun on their days off, including visiting the Guinness factory in Dublin (Ireland),watching the Dutch soccer team PSV pratice followed by a meet-and-greet with the team's players. Check out the pictures at this location.

As previously reported, SEPULTURA drummer Igor Cavalera is taking a break from the group's touring activities to spend time with his second wife and their new son (who was born in January). Mayorga, who played with Igor's brother Max for several years in the late '90s and again in 2001-2003, has been enlisted for SEPULTURA's European tour with IN FLAMES (which kicked off March 12 in Oslo, Norway),with the possibility that he will stick around for further touring activities beyond the spring.

SEPULTURA's current European tour is not the first time that the band have performed without Igor Cavalera. Back in April 2005, SEPULTURA completed a short tour of Mexico with the help of roadie Guilherme Martin (ex-VIPER, TOYSHOP) after Cavalera was unable to make the dates.
